Where was this when I was in school in the 60 to do a science project. I will have to remember this for my grandkids. It is so easy to make and so super cool to watch and I really like how you can start out slow with the bubbles and work up to fast. This homemade lava lamp uses inexpensive products. There is a video and written tutorial too. Anyone done this yet?

This is a fun visual science project that my pre-school group will love. I'll save it for Halloween, and make it sparkly and spooky! I will definitely let them shine flashlights on these. I always wanted a lava lamp, but never had one! I don't think the pre-schoolers will know what a lava lamp is.
