Autumn Tree Pine Cone Craft
It is not often that your craft supplies fall at your feet, unless you do this Autumn Tree Pine Cone Craft. This is a fine motor skills activity, but it is so incredibly simple that even very young children can succeed with this craft largely on their own. Get the kids outside collecting pine cones and encourage them to look at the changing autumn colors. They will have a lot of fun running around and finding the best pine cones they can for this simple pine cone craft. Then when they find the cones they want, bring them back inside and have them make their own autumn trees.

Do you host Thanksgiving reunions and need some ways to entain the kids that is not costly then this is a perfect way to keep them busy by gathering up the pinecones and then bringing them in for decorating with the tissue paper. I love pine cone crafts! This year seems to be teeming with them! This project is wonderful and helps kids sort and use their eye hand coordination as well! Another option would be to add some paint or glitter to make the cones extra festive. These will look lovely nesting in a shiny glass bowl or lined up on a mantel,or the dining room table. Thanks for sharing!

I love this! I'm putting it in my files for next fall! I have a home daycare and the preschoolers would love it...and so would their parents! I happen to have pinecones in my yard, but I'm sure you could get them at a craft/hobby store. If you wait until later in the fall, they will be available for Christmas crafts.
