Recycled Seed Planters
You can do more with the newspaper than just read it; you can make Recycled Seed Planters and start your very own garden. Once you've read the comics, tear them up and soak 'em in water. This recycled craft turns goopy and fun, and once you're finished you will have a cool seed starter. Easy recycled crafts for kids are the best because you don't have to spend any money on materials that you have at home. Hunt around in your trash bin for yesterday's paper and get started on green crafting today.

This is a wonderful idea and makes a super little token for your child's teacher, or a wonderful and cost effective Mother's Day gift, just in time for the planting season! Add in the seeds right to the paper pulp and you are good to go. Another option is to,use cardboard egg cartons, and after soaking, you shape it back into the same shape!
