This is such a cute idea! Take it a step further and paint it the color of a real mailbox, or cover with construction paper. You can make a similar item for a bit older kids making slots for buttons and letters and as a size and shape sorter too. Having a personal,mailbox like this also encourages kids to learn to write letters and draw pictures and a certain excitement to see if they have mail waiting for them too! Great fun and learning too!
