Kathy Barbro, Art Projects for Kids

Kathy Barbro first earned her B.F.A. at Minneapolis College of Arts and Design, and then enjoyed a 20-year career in graphic design. When her son entered kindergarten, her career path took a turn. The local public elementary school had no art program and that was all the inspiration she needed to take up a new cause. After starting as a volunteer art docent, she was hired by the school's PTA as a Professional Expert in Visual Arts. She now teaches twenty K-5 classes weekly in Sherman Oaks, CA and also conducts an after-school Art Enrichment program. With over 1000 classroom-tested art projects posted to her blog, she is happy to pass on her ideas and experiences to all who would like to add a little more creativity to their lives.
