Cute idea and I know kids would love this beyond the 4th to create their own little percussion session, ringing to the beat of their favorite tune! In addition to rolls as suggested you could also make these out of old potatoe chip canisters, or oatmeal containers using different noisemaker contents inside... Seeds, acorns, more little bells... Lots of fun and so clever too!
