Instructions
-
Pull out your construction paper and choose your colors for this project. You will need one sheet of each of the following colors: pink, green, red, yellow, black, and white. Now that you have picked your colors, begin tracing the template patterns (head, hat, outfit, sleeves, hands, stockings, shoes, etc.) on the construction paper. Once you have finished tracing, you can cut out the traced patterns nicely.
-
Once each of the pieces have been cut out, you can start gluing your elf together. Start with gluing the shoe cutouts on either side of the stocking cutouts. Then stick the hand cutouts on either side of the sleeve cutouts. Grab a red sharpie or marker and draw the striped patterns on the stockings.
-
Grab the pieces that make up the hat (the base, trim, and pom pom). Glue the zigzag trim along the bottom side of the hat base. Then attach the pom pom cutout on the tip of the hat base.
-
Next you will use a brown sharpie or marker to draw and fill the hair part on the top side of the head cutout.
-
Now, glue the hat on the top side of the head cutout. Make sure you leave some of the hair visible. Next glue the leg cutouts on the back of the bottom side of the body base cutout.
-
Next you will glue the neck trim onto the top side of the body base. Above that you will then glue the head.
-
Glue the arms to the body. Only apply the glue to the shoulders, leaving the rest of the arm and hands to move. Make sure to keep each arm facing the inside of the body pattern.
-
Grab your black gel pen to draw the eyes, nose and mouth of the elf.
-
And just like that, you have an adorable Elf Book Mark buddy. To use the elf papercraft figure as a bookmark, slide a page under the elf’s arms. Make sure to keep the page between the body and the arms.
