God's Eye
A God's Eye is a woven craft project that was originally created by Huichol Native Americans. Now, all religions embrace and create these weaving projects, and they have been appropriated as camp crafts for kids. Make this token of sight and understanding to teach kids about Native American cultures.

This craft brings back lots of memories. I definitely made these, but I used sticks off the ground, not popsicle sticks. I probably made these at day camp and/or vacation Bible school. Fun! I have so many scraps of yarn now, I think I'll make a large one and hang it up. Who cares if I'm not a kid at camp anymore!

What a great project for the kids to make in summer camp! I think we can spend some time during our morning walk to find twigs that we can use and make this project in the afternoon. Does anyone know where I can find stories that we can read before making this project?
