Ombre Paper Lamp

Ombre is a cool and trendy design that is easy to achieve on paper. With a little DIY creativity, you can turn a boring white lampshade into an awesome Ombre Paper Lamp. Just find your favorite color dye and get to crafting your own DIY lamp shade. With these helpful step-by-step instructions and video, you will soon be a pro at the ombre technique. Your lamp will be unique, because no one else will have the same lampshade; therefore, your DIY room decorations will be completely special and uniquely yours.
 

Materials:

• Paper Lamp from Ikea
• Tulip Fabric Dye  
• Plastic Tub or Bucket
• Water
• Spoon

Instructions:

1. Build the lamp according to the instructions in the box.
 

2. Fill the bucket with a few inches of water and add the fabric dye. Mix well.
 

3. Dunk the paper lamp shade quarter the way into the basin of dye. Remove after a few seconds.
 

4. Add more water to the bucket to fill it about half way and dunk the lamp half way. Remove after a few seconds.
 

5. Add even more water so that the bucket is almost all of the way full. Dunk the lamp all the way in again for a few seconds.
