This is a great idea. My kids outgrow clothing so fast, I have thought often, it would be nice to be able to use the jeans for something. Since, I knit and crochet, I have thought of making yarn, but I never see any projects I really like. But, this is simple enough that my kids could make it, too, and it would look nice on the wall.
