There's something really special about kids' artwork! I love the personality, charm, character, and spontaneity found in the art kids create. Hidden inside this creative process, you'll find many benefits.... Art gives kids the freedom to make choices where there isn't only one "right" answer, encouraging critical thinking and self-expression. Plus, it develops skills of analysis, problem solving, invention, and reflection.... the same thought processes used by today's great thinkers, inventors, and leaders. And, kids love it!!
I've been teaching Art to kids for over 20 years and there is nothing more inspiring than watching kids of all ages discover their ability to be creative! Although I do have a degree in art and an art ed credential, I've learned that you don't need to be an "artist" or have an art background yourself to teach the basics of art to kids. All you need are good lessons to follow and the willingness to have fun with it! Over the years, I've developed hundreds of successful art lessons for kids, and my passion now is to make them accessible, so that everyone can share the joy of art with the kids in their lives!
