Glowing Rudolph Clay Pot
Guide your guests to candy in a pot that will go down in history. The Glowing Rudolph Clay Pot from Plaid is an adorable Christmas craft for kids that is just wonderful. You would even say it glows. You will have a great time making your red-nosed pot as you paint the one all the reindeer love. This project is great for older kids or for the whole family to create. There's nothing better than gathering together on a snowy night to drink hot chocolate and craft a glowing pot pal.
Materials:
- Apple Barrel ® Colors - Limeade, 2 oz.
- Apple Barrel ® Colors - Black, 2 oz.
- Apple Barrel ® Colors - Territorial Beige, 2 oz.
- Apple Barrel ® Colors - Pure Gold, 2 oz.
- Apple Barrel ® Colors - Strawberry, 2 oz.
- Apple Barrel ® Colors - Ecru, 2 oz.
- Clay Rose Pot – 4 ½”
- Paintbrushes - #12 Flat
- #1 Liner
- Foam spouncer – ¾”
- Stencil brush ¼”
- Wiggle eyes – 15mm
- Red sparkle pom pom – 1”
- Gold tinsel Chenille stem
- Craft sticks - 4
- Craft glue
- Craft knife
- Scissors
- Brush Basin or water container
- Paper towels

Instructions:

Paint body of clay pot Territorial Beige. Paint the rim Ecru. Let dry.

Use spouncer to create Limeade dots around rim. Dip handle end of liner brush in Strawberry then use to add small dots between Limeade dots.

Use craft knife to score 1” lengths on an angle from both ends of two craft sticks. Cut with scissors, then glue to full size craft sticks and let dry. Paint antlers Metallic Pure Gold and let dry. Glue to inside edge of clay pot rim as shown.

Glue pom pom nose and wiggle eyes to clay pot. Use an extremely dry stencil brush and Strawberry to make cheeks. Use liner brush to paint mouth in Black. Let dry.
- Glue gold tinsel chenille stem around base of pot.
PROJECT TIP: Create smaller reindeer pots with name tags for holiday place settings.
